Saily is the eSIM from the people behind NordVPN: one eSIM for every trip, 200+ destinations, unlimited plans, a US phone number if you want one, and privacy tools built into the app. It prices in US dollars. Roamly is a small Australian company that sells fewer things, in AUD, for less.
On the six destinations Australians fly to most, a like-for-like 5 GB plan is 12% to 39% cheaper with Roamly once Saily's US-dollar price is converted, before your bank adds a foreign-transaction fee. You pay in AUD, and the person answering the chat is in Sydney and will take a phone call. Saily matches us on hotspot and top-ups, and beats us on coverage, unlimited data, round-the-clock support and an Android app. If any of those matters more than price, Saily is the better fit today. Like-for-like prices
The fairest comparison is the same plan on both sides. Both companies sell a 5 GB, 30-day plan in each of these destinations, so nothing here is approximated. Saily shows Australians US dollars and offers no AUD option, so its price is given as displayed and converted at the Reserve Bank of Australia rate for 18 September 2026, when A$1 bought US$0.7126. What your card is actually charged depends on your bank's own rate and any foreign-transaction fee it adds.

The cheapest way in
Entry-level plans aren't like-for-like, so here's what each one buys. Saily's is a 1 GB, 7-day plan; Roamly's starts at 3 GB for 15 or 30 days. Converted, Saily's costs less in five of the six destinations. For a couple of days of light use it can be the cheaper ticket; for anything longer, our 3 GB plan buys three times the data and a much longer clock.
