How to install your eSIM

Installing an eSIM takes less than a minute. Follow the steps below for your device, or use the QR code method to install on a different device.

Step by step

On the eSIM detail page, tap the “Add to iPhone” button. This will open your device's eSIM setup.

Your iPhone will guide you through adding the eSIM. Confirm when prompted.

Give your eSIM a label like “Travel” or the country name so you can easily identify it later.

When asked, choose to keep your eSIM off for now. Turn it on when you arrive at your destination.

If you want to install the eSIM on a different device than the one you're browsing on, use the QR code method:

1. Open Roamly on your computer or another device

2. Go to My eSIMs and select your eSIM

3. Click “Scan QR Code” to reveal the QR code

4. On the device you want to install on, go to Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM → Use QR Code

5. Scan the QR code with your camera

Set up your eSIM while you're still connected to WiFi at home. You'll be ready to go the moment you land.

Keep the eSIM turned off until you arrive at your destination. Activating early may start your plan countdown.

Keep your regular SIM for calls and texts, or turn it off to avoid roaming charges. Use your Roamly eSIM for data only.

You need an internet connection to download the eSIM profile. Make sure you're connected to WiFi before installing.
