MyBestSim, the independent eSIM comparison site, has reviewed Roamly and given us 4 out of 5. Roamly now sits alongside the other providers it compares across 200 destinations, in 25 languages.
It's our latest listing after eSIMDB, eSIM Spotter and Find Your eSIM. A review is a different test from a listing, though: someone has looked at what we do and written down what they think, good and bad. Here's the short version, and our take on the points they flagged.
What MyBestSim liked
Quick setup. Buying and installing from the app takes under a minute.
Live usage tracking. You can see how much data you've used as you go.
Fast data with no daily cap. 4G and 5G at the advertised speeds, without a daily limit.
Top-ups. Most plans can be topped up from My eSIMs without installing a new eSIM.
Real support. Chat, email and phone.
What they flagged, and our take
No calls or standard texts. That's right: our plans are data only. WhatsApp, iMessage and FaceTime work over data, and your usual SIM stays on for calls and texts.
Prices in Australian dollars. That's deliberate. We're built for Australian travellers, so on an Australian card the price you see is exactly what lands on your statement.
Refunds after activation. Like most eSIM providers, we can't usually refund a plan once it's been delivered. We do refund in full if an eSIM fails to provision, never arrives, or you're charged twice. Our refund policy has the detail, and if something goes wrong, talk to us early.
Performance depends on local networks. True of every travel eSIM. Each plan page lists the networks it uses in that country, so you can check before you buy.
Where Roamly fits
Roamly is a small team in Sydney. You can install your eSIM before you fly, and your plan only starts counting when it connects at your destination. Every plan includes hotspot, and every purchase earns Roam Coins: 5 to 10% back as credit for your next trip.
Used Roamly before?
MyBestSim takes reviews from travellers too. If you've used Roamly, a review there helps the next traveller choose, and it helps us get better.
