One terabyte delivered

Roamly just passed a milestone we're pretty proud of: one terabyte of data delivered to travellers around the world.

A terabyte is hard to picture, so here's roughly what it looks like in real travel terms:

  • ~1,000 hours of video calls home

  • ~250,000 map navigations to find the hotel, the beach, the bar

  • ~500,000 photos backed up from the trip

And the number we care about most: zero roaming bills. Not one traveller surprised by a scary number when they landed home.

Why this matters to us

Every gigabyte in that terabyte is someone who landed connected — no airport SIM queue, no hunting for Wi-Fi, no $500 surprise from their carrier. That's the whole reason Roamly exists.

We're a small Australian-owned business, so milestones like this one aren't abstract numbers on a dashboard. They're video calls that connected families across time zones, directions that got people to the right place, and moments that made it home safely to the camera roll.

Thank you

To every traveller who's chosen Roamly so far — thank you. A new business lives or dies on the people willing to try it early, and we don't take a single one of you for granted.

If you've travelled with us and have thoughts on what we should do better, we'd genuinely love to hear them. And if you haven't yet — your first eSIM is two minutes away, and the Roamly app is now on the App Store.

On to the next terabyte. 🌏
